As the night began to fade, Noorie wakes up to the sound of a huge storm blowing. She wakes up in a jolt, she looks around, she can’t recognize anything around her. She has not been here before. She walks past a neighbourhood, there is not a single tree. It is morning, but there is no sun. Everyone looks the same, they are all wearing the same clothes. They are speaking in codes and numbers that Noorie can’t understand. She can hear sounds of drones, bulldozers and wailing sirens at a distance. Noorie gets scared and tries to escape but the walls close in on her. Yet somehow, she manages to run away and decides to never turn back. Noorie sets off on a long journey across rivers, valleys, deserts, forests, seas and deep inside the bylanes of cities. Along her way, she meets musicians, who tell her stories and sing her songs. Listening to them, she discovers new maps and routes to find a sense of belonging.
